Try ALPHA – Ideal for LENT 2018
Members of the autumn course will be helping and invite you to join them as we look forward to hosting a new Alpha Course starting on Thursday 15th February.
The first weeks to Easter of the newly published course will afford a very good Lent Course for any, however long we’ve been coming to church, who want to explore faith, Jesus, the cross and resurrection, prayer and the Bible in anticipation of Easter. Includes an optional Saturday away day! From 7.15pm on Thursday evenings in the Parish Centre from 15th Feb.

CANDLEMAS Choral Evensong

Our fortnightly Thursday BIBLE STUDY
recommences for the spring term on January 11th from 10 to 11.30 in the Parish Centre. All are welcome. We are starting at Acts 13 where the good news of the gospel spreads rapidly across the middle east.

The next social fund raiser for the new Parish Centre is our Beetle Drive with Fish ’n Chips on Sat.10th February at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre. Tickets £10 from the of-fice to include Fish ’n Chips and pudding. Hope you can come.

Through all the listening to Leesland and at the school and Trash Cafe etc, Revd Tim Watson will be introducing new expressions of faith community in the Spring. Please pray for this as Leesland Neighbourhood Church is established on 25th February for those near St.Faith’s and who don’t currently participate in church fellowship. Tim also plans to start a midweek meal and a new toddlers group plus acts of community service.

The Richardson family will be moving to Southsea this week so it will be Chris’ turn to commute for the rest of his curacy whilst the children get to walk to school! Home phone number and emails will stay the same, but please be aware that Chris will be on his study tour of the Holy Land with Bishop Christopher and the Portsmouth curates until Wed 17th Jan.

St.Francis’ congregation are seeking to serve their
community through a new friendship group. Games &
Companionship to be piloted on Thursday 11th January in St.Francis’ from 2.00pm-4.00pm. All are welcome.

Churches Together in Gosport are hosting this year’s special unity service in Christchurch on 21st January 2018 at 6.30pm. Worshippers from all Gosport churches are invit-ed.
The Week of Prayer runs from 18th-25th January 2018.

DID YOU KNOW? Holy Land Visit
Revd Chris Richardson is visiting the Holy Land with Bishop Christopher and the diocesan curates from 10th – 17th January 2018. We trust that this will be very inspiring for Chris in his training and we look forward to hearing from him about his experiences upon his return.
