This notice is more to put out feelers to see whether people are interested.
We have the opportunity to go to The No. 6 Cinema at the Historic Dockyard on Friday 16th September at 7.00pm. £10 for an adult, £9 for Seniors. To see ‘Romeo and Juliet’ live broadcast theatre by Kenneth Branagh’s Theatre Company. It will be in black and white. The cinema are kindly willing to give us a free ticket for every 10 bought. Please let Charlotte Adams (or the Church Officer) know if you’d’ like to go.
NEXT MEN’S NIGHT OUT
Older or younger, all chaps are invited to keep the evening of Wednesday 7th September free to get together for a drink at The Old Lodge at 7.30pm. We’ll also have a chat about future events – come with ideas.
QUIREMASTER’S QUIZ NIGHT
Saturday 10th September, 7.30pm in the Parish Centre. Make up teams of 10 (or come and be allocated a team!) and join us for a light hearted evening themed on music, general knowledge and sport. One life. What’s it all about? For the first time we shall host a Christianity Explored course in the parish – come along and bring a friend to explore the questions of faith and life. Starts Thursday 6th October in the Parish Centre.

GROWING A HEALING MINISTRY
Our Acorn Christian Healing Foundation course is to run for 5 weeks on October 9th, 16th & 23rd and November 6th & 14th from 4.00pm until 6.00pm in the Parish Centre. Please speak to Revd Andy or Diana Dow if you would like to attend to continue the building of our church into the safe and effective healing community it is called to be as Christ’s body.

RIDE & STRIDE
In aid of Hants & Islands Historic Churches Trust – the annual sponsored cycle ride or walk on 10th September. As a church we’re asked to run 2 official fayre stalls with information and official fayre raffle & we can offer church information and hope to sell tickets for our autumn Barn Dance. ‘Healthier Futures for Women & Girls’ We shall have a special parish Gift Day for our new Christian Aid partnership at Harvest on 25th September.
