Can you help us?
The parish shares with Gosport Rotarians in organising the Michaelmas Fayre for our community. With 5000 visitors and charitable fundraising approaching £20,000 it is a significant event. The committee have asked the church to provide two people to be:
• The Brochure Editor
• The Official Draw Co-ordinator
These roles can be supported by Sue in the office.
Urgently by end April Andy would be very pleased to hear from anyone, pair or team of folk who would be willing to undertake these roles. You’re help would be very much appreciated and is so important in our community relations for the future of the fayre. Thanks so much.

12th to 18th May – Can you help us deliver Christian Aid Week
envelopes to every home in the parish? There is no longer any knocking on doors to collect donations, simply popping envelopes through the door. This worked well last year and so we’d love to reach even more homes!
If you’d be able to deliver a few envelopes then please contact our Christian Aid Co-ordinators – Philippa Harrap or Peter Ford; thank you. Contact details: &

Working Towards a New Parish Centre…

BARN DANCE 11th May Get your tickets!
Join us for our traditional Barn Dance in the main hall of Bay House School. No experience needed as we have an expert caller. Tickets from the Parish Centre, £12.50 to include supper and dancing but not drinks! A great night out – so just bring lots of energy and have fun!

hosted for us by Stokes Bay WI on Tuesday 30th April. The Hunt sheets can be collected from Parish Centre at 11.00am and followed by lunch at 12.30pm. Cost for both £8.00. Tickets available from Parish Centre or Stokes Bay WI. The Hunt itself is a process of observation around the village centre (small area) and no prior knowledge is required!

We have 15 gardens open this year. The tickets will be £5 per adult (children <15 free) and will allow entry for both days. On the day, the Parish Centre will be open for tickets, tea and cake. To make this event a resounding suc-cess we will need good weather and a lot of help on both days. Many thanks to all of you who have volunteered time and cake – all offers of help are still very welcome.

We held our parish AGM recently. It was reported that 2018 saw our general income/expenditure in balance by £6724 and that the new Electoral Roll is 286 members. Very many people have faithfully served over the past year – and to each one of them we, as a community, are so very grateful. Kathryn Clarke and Kay Howard were re-appointed to be our Churchwardens, whilst Peter Field-send and Libby Norris were elected to serve on the Paro-chial Church Council. Two PCC vacancies remain which the PCC could fill by co-option – please contact Michael Thomas, PCC Secretary.
