Who do you know who would
value an invitation to Alpha?
We’re looking forward to our
next Alpha Course which will
commence on Wednesday
7th October from 7.30pm-9.00pm
in Darcey’s Tea Room for 10 weeks.
What is Christianity? Who is Jesus? Want to get to grips with understanding your faith? How can I be sure? Alpha is for you – please come along and bring a friend!

Your church needs you …
The Christian Church is growing.
Although the challenges in the UK
are tough they are not insurmountable. So how does Christ’s church grow here? Jesus’ Church needs you! It starts with our own expectation and the culture we offer across the parish – it starts with each one of us as we look to God. You make the difference between growth or decline!
We are all therefore invited to three special meetings for three sessions, Part 1 from the anglican course: ‘Leading Your Church Into Growth’. In the Parish Centre from 7.30pm on Thursdays 17th & 24th Sept and 1st October. The sessions are listed overleaf with the Sunday themes.

To our Service of Healing & Wholeness next
Sunday evening at 6.30pm in St.Mary’s.
Come to pray for the NHS.
Come if any part of you is dis-eased.
Come if you feel drawn to pray for others.
Come if you feel that God does not want the world to be like this – that he wants the wholeness and shalom for all that Jesus declared.

For a few years local quilters have been creating wonderful images of buildings in the village to be The Alverstoke Quilt. This arose out of a parish
meeting involving Revd Ted Goodyer in 2012.
The Alverstoke Quilt is now ready to be unveiled by the Mayor of Gosport and will be dedicated on Friday 28th August in the Parish Centre where it will remain on display.

An opportunity to worship God in a more open, relaxed and contemporary style – join us this evening at 6.30pm. Whilst on 27th September we look forward to welcoming a ministry from the Midlands, Teen Challenge, who will share their music and testimonies about release from drug addiction.
