You’re invited, indeed called by the Archbishops’ to join in a ‘great wave of prayer across our land’ in the week leading up to Pentecost. Pray at home, at work, in our schools and in church. St.Mary’s will host a few Prayer Stations which you are invited to visit and use to inspire your prayers. Join us at Morning Prayers at 9.00am week days except Wednesday, 7.30am communion. Also Tim Watson and a small team are hosting Prayer Spaces in Leesland Junior School for pupils. This is very timely in praying for our nation with the election on 8th June whilst for the church at Pentecost praying for the renewal of the Holy Spirit with confidence to share our faith.

MESSY CHURCH This Thursday
Thursday 25th May at 3.30pm in the Parish Centre & St.Mary’s for our exciting congregation for children and their adults – hot tea provided! Collecting PLASTIC DRINK/SQUASH BOTTLES please, Parish Centre by Thursday.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the popular annual Lunch on the 15th June.  Start time 12.30pm in The Parish Centre. Funds raised for the Parish Centre Regeneration. Tickets: £9 until 11th June, £12 thereafter from the Parish Office.

Friendship through PAINTING THE HALL as below…

Please join us next Saturday
9.30am Sat 27th May in preparation for painting the following week. Please bring long dusters and cleaning tools etc. We’ll fill the holes and prepare the walls.

Then a week later
8.45am for Full English (£3) – painting from 9.30am. Please sign list at back or RSVP office if you would like breakfast?
Bring emulsion paintbrushes, rollers and old clothes! Any rollers on long poles – safe short steps etc. Thank you.

SMILE & A.MEN The SMILE ladies and A.Men men’s groups have a special ‘call up’ for 3rd June for breakfast and working together in painting the Parish Centre Hall!
PILGRIMS continues to follow the ‘J John’s 10 course’ this Thursday – starting with refreshments at 7.15pm in the Parish Centre. An inspiring look at the 10 Commandments.

CUPPA & COMPANY This Tuesday
In the Parish Centre, 4th Tuesday of every month (except August) between 2pm and 3pm. Cuppa & Company is a fabulous support serving any who are bereaved – simply pop in or take a friend.

ELECTION LETTER from Archbishops

Between now and the Election please use the prayer table in the Chapel to inspire our intercession for the UK elections.

We’ll safeguard the bids already received by the deadline, but with half the pews still available the auction will be extended until Pentecost (4th June). So please don’t miss out on enjoying one of our pews in your home for posterity – all donations through bids will help us complete the refurbishment of St.Mary’s; thank you.
