attending New Wine together this year for Week 2: 5th-11th August. If you are interested, then please let Jo Northey know so we can organise for all to camp together and help each other out! It involves camping, worship, fabulous kids’ groups, a chance to grow friendships with each other and build our faith – all with a lovely coating of mud…. what’s not to love? ASH WEDNESDAY 14th February
7.30am Parish Centre Communion
7.00pm St.Mary’s Communion & Imposition of Ashes When ash from Palm Crosses is signed upon the fore-head as a cross and sign of penitence. You’re welcome to bring your old Palm Crosses on 11th Feb to be made into ash.

LENT BOOK: LIVE LENT- Let Your Light Shine!
One per household, please freely take a Lent book in church today. Please note that those in the Bible Fellow-ship Groups will be offered a copy at your group so you don’t need to take one today! The books offer a reading and reflection for each day during Lent. We hope that you’ll find them to be inspirational for your faith and prayer from next Wednesday through Lent.

Andy Norris will be leaving the Lifeboat Station heading west at 1.30pm on Ash Wednesday 14th Feb to ‘beat the bounds’ of the parish as a prayer walk. Any who can walk at a good pace and to pray are welcome to join him for the 6 miles to be back at 4.30pm (15 minute cafe break!). Others may wish to start and leave the walk when you’re ready.

PARISH LUNCH 13th February
RSVP the Parish Office for lunch on Tuesday 13th Febru-ary from 12.30pm in the Parish Centre. Book in, £7 on the day.

15th February
Our Alpha supper has kindly been sponsored and so we invite you to enjoy a free meal in company followed by a 20 minute film on Thurs 15th February at 7.15pm in the Parish Centre. Very relaxed, friendly and by which we’ll simply introduce the next Alpha Course with the film: Is there more to life than this? Without any obligation to return the following week – simply to enjoy food, friends and film! Please sign list at back of St.Mary’s or RSVP Parish Office for catering purposes including dietary re-quirements in lieu of Fish n Chips.

Try ALPHA – Ideal for LENT 2018
Members of the autumn course will be helping and invite you to join them as we look forward to hosting a new Al-pha Course starting with an informal supper on Thursday 15th February. The first weeks to Easter of the newly pub-lished course will afford a very good Lent Course for any however long we’ve been coming to church, who want to explore faith, Jesus, the cross and resurrection, prayer and the Bible in anticipation of Easter. Includes an op-tional Saturday away day on 17th March. From 15th Feb-ruary 7.15pm on Thursday evenings in the Parish Centre.

Our Annual Spring Clean at St. Mary’s will take place on Sat 17th February from 9-00am to 11-00am. Any help would be much appreciated on the day. Please bring along your own hoovers, dusters, brushes and extension leads. Our local Guide groups will also be there to help. Many thanks.
