SERVING & GIVING
Acts 4v32: ‘“they did not claim their possessions as their own, but they shared everything they had… in God’s grace.”
NEW SCHOOL FOUNDATION GOVERNORS
Called to serve?
Some 13 members are Foundation Governors in our parish church schools (Alverstoke and Leesland). Being a school governor on behalf of the church is a very significant and rewarding voluntary role. We’re very grateful to Judith and Amanda who have served as governors at Alverstoke Junior School but who have now stepped down. We therefore seek two folk from the congregation/electoral roll who may be able to offer their time, skills and experience to serve Alverstoke CofE Junior School. If it could be you called to this roll then have a word with Andy Norris who’d be pleased to chat and put you in touch with another governor so you can find out what it involves, thank you so much.
CHRISTMAS TREE STEWARDS
Help us welcome and host 5000 guests!
Christmas Tree Festival Stewards (Fri 6th – Sun 8th December).
Many thanks to those of you who have already confirmed that you can act as a steward again for this year’s festival. If there is anyone else who would like to steward or would like to find out more about what being a steward entails, please email Liz Finch. Thanks so much.
CHRISTMAS TREE ‘CAFE’ PRIZES
We’re grateful to the team who will be hosting refreshments/lunches/teas in the Parish Centre for the tree festival. They have asked if any have any unwanted gifts suitable for a draw at the cafe? Bottles, chocolates, toiletries and the like. If so they’d be happy to collect them at the Parish Centre – thank you ever so much.
