Families are increasingly becoming the foundation of the church in the parish. Families with young children are very welcome in the church services.

Baby & Toddlers GroupsParish Baby & Toddlers

Every Monday in the Parish Centre from 1.15pm-2.45pm and every Tuesday at St.Francis Church from 10.00am-11.30am.

Alverstoke Parish Baby & Toddler’s Group provides a caring safe local support network for parents/carer with a safe environment for babies and toddlers to develop, play, build friendships, with a foundation of Christian values.
We offer:
Baby area, indoor/outdoor toys and ride on’s, crafty activities, stories, and singing. Socialise and chat with other parents/carers.

Bible & Biscuit

An informal adult discussion group which happily welcomes parents who want to bring their pre-school children along with them.  Bible & Biscuit discussions explore the reality of Jesus in everyday life whilst any children are welcome to play alongside.  Every Friday during term time from 9.30am.

Messy Church LogoMessy Church

For primary aged children and their adults, after school at 3.30pm usually on the fourth Thursday each month during term time in the Parish Centre and St.Mary’s Church ending with a cooked tea at 5.15pm for all.


Church Alive on Sundays

Arrive at St.Mary’s for about 10.25am on Sundays for your children to enjoy drinks and simple breakfast food ahead of the start of Church Alive at 10.45am with Coffee & breakfast bites for adults too!  A service where families can be families, and parents can relax for their children to be in church.  If you enjoy Messy Church – you’ll love Church Alive!

Special Social Events for Families

Look out for occasional family events like Skittles BBQs or Light Parties or Picnics on the Beach!


From time to time parenting or marriage enrichment courses will be run in the parish.

St.Mary’s Junior Sailing Club
