Towards a new Parish Centre
Read all about our vision to provide a new centre at the heart of the community to serve Gosport for years to come – you can discover all about our exciting project on our dedicated website:
You’re invited
A Place to Belong. You’re invited to Alverstoke Church where you’d be welcome to join our 1000 year story of growing a dynamic and loving community.
A place for everyone and the place for you. Whether in big gatherings, small groups or one-to-one, discover new friends at St.Mary’s, St.Francis’ and St.Faith’s – all one church gathered in three places and online. The Parish Centre and The Brodrick Hall are our other great venues where local people gather – plus we have a youth sailing club on the creek! We look forward to welcoming you.
We’re open every day. St.Mary’s is open every day until 3.30pm. You’re invited to pop in for some personal space, prayer and reflection. Enjoy our beautiful and meaningful space.
Our Services
Contemporary or Traditional – the choice is yours. We hope you’ll discover worship that helps you know joy, peace and mystery in seeking God with others. Some services are upbeat with AV, kids activities and worship band whilst others are rooted in traditional words and choir. There’s a service for you!
Children, Youth & Families
Across the generations we want church to be a blessing for all your family! For parents and grandparents as well as for children and young people. Kids, youth and Families activities are on Sundays and during the week.
You’d be welcome to our three Baby & Toddlers Groups, Families Alive/Messy Church, Youth Group and the Kids Alive and Youth Alive Sunday groups. Plus there’s the Junior Choir and St.Mary’s Junior Sailing Club on the creek!
Adults & Seniors
Sharing and celebrating life in friendship and fellowship is foundational to our community. You’ll find many opportunities to meet with others, small groups where you can belong, opportunities to draw upon your skills and serve, a caring pastoral team when they’re needed and acts of worship where you feel comfortable.
Bringing all of our community together
We just love welcoming thousands to the Michaelmas Fayre and to our Christmas Tree Festival plus at the many smaller events throughout the year.
Many groups use our Parish Centre and Brodrick Hall. In fact we’re working towards building a new Parish Centre for the community to enjoy.
