A big thank you to all the volunteers and the many people who made donations to Christian Aid Week which raised £1650 this year. PRAYER SPACES IN SCHOOL: AJS & Leelsand
We would value your prayers for the two parish teams who are hosting Prayer Spaces in Alverstoke CE and also Leesland CE Junior Schools this coming week. Most especially your prayers for the schools, their staff, students, families and governors. These are creative spaces for the young people to share and explore prayer.
MICHAELMAS FAYRE 28th September
St.Mary’s needs you! Please save the date.
Because we share with the Rotarians in the overall hosting of the fayre we do need to offer more people to help run the event.
It is great that many of us participate through other charities and groups – but it does traditionally leave us falling short in offering helpers. So even if you participate with another group could you still offer just an hour to the main church fayre team please? – that would be invaluable. We need to provide different roles – like stewards, roads, tickets, moving tables/chairs, brochure, 10p Family Fun Fete (hosting family games and activities), refreshments etc. In advance those preparing the brochure (Mike Critchley) and main draw (Michael Wheeler) may also value some extra help. We’ll put a list out from July for signing up to roles and times. Thank you.
THE PRAYER CHAIN
exists to support those needing prayer through a confidential network of caring parishioners. Call Sue Stacey on 023 92 583167.

KFC (our KIDS for CHRIST club)
Kate Smyth and Chris Richardson are looking for new volunteers to support KFC that meets on Wednesdays from 5.30pm-7pm. This club is discipleship training for school year 7plus. There are 7 young people who are very chatty and full of beans! If you’d value serving young people in this way then please get in touch.

ST.MARY’S NAME BADGES
Just a reminder for St.Mary’s congregation that we do encourage the wearing of a simple name badge. They do help the overall welcome and atmosphere, whilst being of particular benefit and service to those of us who are a bit forgetful! Thank you for your help in this. There are a number of newly made badges to collect at the back – where you can also request one to be made if you don’t have one; thanks.
