Join a HOME GROUP this September
More details in the letter for all worshippers today. We’d en-courage all to belong to a small group in the church. We now have 7 groups meeting on Tues, Weds and Thurs – daytime and evening – so there should be one for you!
DCM 19th September at 7.00pm at St Francis. The last Sunday of September. Harvest Festival, followed by a bring and share lunch. All are welcome. Gifts of tinned and dried food, toiletries to be donated to the Gosport Food Bank.

Michaelmas COMMUNITY CONCERT
A feast of local musical talent from 7.00pm-9.00pm on
29th September in St.Mary’s. A retiring offering for St.Mary’s music ministry. Bring flags for our usual proms style patriotic finale.
MICHAELMAS FAYRE PRIZES & HELP
As a member of the Fayre planning group Sue Simpson, in the Parish Office, requests any prizes (bottles, chocs etc) that may be offered as prizes for the official draw please. She also seeks folk who may be happy to assist on the day with the selling the official tickets. Please contact Sue at the Parish Office – thank you.

10p MESSY FAMILY FUN FETE – Michaelmas Volun-teers?
Last year our new innovation of the family fun in the church yard was very successful for the community. But we need many helpers to express God’s welcome through running the dozen fete games. Can you help us for some of the time between 12-4.00pm on 29th Sept? If so then I’d love to hear from you or please sign the volunteer list at the back of St.Mary’s so I can be in touch – thanks, Jo.
Youth including new Youth Alpha & Youth Group
Please have a word with me, Jo, about our new Youth Alpha Course starting this September as a weekly group to eat and think about the basics of faith together. Also our Saturday night Youth Group will increase to twice a month on 2nd and 4th Sa-turdays starting 22nd September at a new time of 7.00pm – 8.30pm.

FUNERAL for Joan Russell
We’re sorry to share the sad news of the passing of Joan Rus-sell who has been at the heart of our church and wider commu-nity for many years. Please remember her family preparations are made for her special service in St.Mary’s on Tues 2nd Octo-ber at 1.30pm.
Working Towards a New Parish Centre…
AUTUMN CONCERT – tickets now!
Tickets for the concert on 5th October are now available from the Parish Centre. Price is £7.50. We’ll be in for another treat with the Volunteer Band of HMS Collingwood, The (Portsmouth) Mili-tary Wives’ Choir, and Katie Rogers, a marvellous local jazz singer. The theme this year is “Pack up Your Troubles”. Tickets are selling fast.
