ARCHDEACON’S VISITATION SERVICE
Every year the Archdeacon hosts a service for all the parishes of Gosport and Fareham at which the Churchwardens are ‘sworn in’ to their duties and the Archdeacon preaches his ‘charge’ for our mission. This year the service is to be hosted here in St.Mary’s at 7.30pm on Tuesday 19th June – all are welcome. From 4.30pm the wardens from across the two deaneries will be having interviews with the Archdeacon and for them, as for other guests, we’d like to serve refreshments. Therefore any cakes that might be baked would be very welcome indeed – thank you very much.
MESSY CHURCH Thurs 28th
Next on Thursday 28th June starting at 3.30pm in the Parish Centre – crafts, games, stories, worship and a hot cooked tea for all children and their adults – parents, grandparents, carers are all welcome. Be blessed with no cooking or washing up the children’s (and adults) meal that day!
Summer CHORAL EVENSONG Sunday 1st July
Join St.Mary’s choir at 6.30pm on 1st for a service of sacred music.
SMILE Fire, Food and Water Fun
St Mary’s Informal Ladies Evening group invite any ladies to join them on Friday 29th June for a relaxing evening sat around a Fire Pit, enjoying ‘fish & chips’ and a drink in the Rectory garden from 6pm (Little Anglesey Road). There is the option of trying out a paddle board, or a rowing boat if you fancy that from 4.30 pm. Bring something to drink, we will order food on arrival. Contact Emma (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Libby (email@example.com) for more information. PS we’ll be inside if weather is inclement.
9.15am SUMMER SONGS OF PRAISE
On Sunday 29th July Hazel and Chris will be leading worship in a special Morning Service and you are invited to submit a favourite hymn/song to be included. If you can say why you chose it, that would be good but not essential. Email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org or see one of us in church – but please write your request down!
