HOSPITALITY – CAKES ARE INVITED PLEASE FOR THE ARCHDEACON’S VISITATION 7.30pm, 19th June
Every year the Archdeacon hosts a service for all the pa-rishes of Gosport and Fareham when Churchwardens are ‘sworn in’ to their duties and the Archdeacon preaches his ‘charge’ for our mission. This year the service is to be hosted in St.Mary’s at 7.30pm and all are welcome. From 4.30pm the wardens from across the two deaneries will be having interviews with the Archdeacon and we’d like to serve refreshments for them and other guests. If you can offer a cake(s) it would be very welcome indeed – thank you !

I’m looking for a group who would like to come together to pilot this… please contact Jo Northey (07807188912) if you are interested!

GIVING to the CHURCH: Parish Giving Scheme
We’re so grateful for all that is so faithfully given in support of the ministry and mission of the church in the parish – thank you. In addition to your gifts to our ‘ongoing’ work at St.Mary’s, St.Francis’, St.Faith’s and St.Luke’s, many also give faithfully towards our special projects like the Parish Centre Regeneration, Shaping The Future, our Africa Partnership and our Families Minister; thank you.
The PCC has now received the Accounts for the first quarter of 2018 which show that we’ll have a challen-ging year ahead for the ‘main’ income account which, at this stage, projects a deficit of about £5,000.
Hence, if there are any newer folk who may be able to consider joining our Parish Giving Scheme then please take a scheme leaflet from the back of St.Mary’s – thank you so much.
We are expecting to reflect on Stewardship this Autumn – it will have been three years since we last had general gift appeal!
