Try ALPHA – Ideal for LENT 2018
Members of the autumn course will be helping and invite you to join them as we look forward to hosting a new Alpha Course starting on Thursday 15th February. The first weeks to Easter of the newly published course will afford a very good Lent Course for any, however long we’ve been coming to church, who want to explore faith, Jesus, the cross and
resurrection, prayer and the Bible in anticipation of Easter.
Includes an optional Saturday away day! From 7.15pm on Thursday evenings in the Parish Centre from 15th Feb.

Within Alverstoke Parish we are seeking to appoint a
creative, passionate and dynamic part-time Families Minister to work alongside the clergy team and our enthusiastic volunteers. This is a significant appointment for the parish as we seek to share in God’s mission to and with the people of the area. The Families Minister post is for an initial 2 year period and will involve creating new missional opportunities as well as co-ordinating existing groups. Communication will also be a key aspect of this exciting role. The offer is for 25 hours a week, worked flexibly across Sunday to Thursday. There may be occasional
requirement to work outside of these days i.e. Saturdays, Good Friday, Christmas Eve.
Pay band: £13,000 – £14,300 (pro rata £19,500 – £21,450 full time at 37.5 hpw).
The role is open to both Lay and Ordained candidates.

Pioneering ministry
Through all the listening to Leesland and at the school and Trash Cafe etc, Revd Tim Watson will be introducing new expressions of faith community in the Spring. Please pray for this as Leesland Neighbourhood Church is established on 25th February for those near St.Faith’s and who don’t currently participate in church fellowship. Tim also plans to start a midweek meal and a new toddlers group plus acts of community service. Amen!

Companionship to be piloted on Thursday 11th January in St.Francis’ from 2.00pm-4.00pm. Amen to that too!
