GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART
Eph.1v16: ‘We never cease to give thanks for you’
WE CANNOT BELIEVE… Families Minister
yet it is true that in the Lord’s grace over £14,000 per annum has been pledged or given as gifts and legacies towards our the post. Thank you so much for trusting this vision and making such a wonderful response.
BISHOP’S THANK YOU
When he visits on 26th November Bishop Christopher will lead us in an act of thanksgiving and dedication of all the voluntary ministry offered by over 200 people in the life of the church. Please join us for this special celebration at 10.00am that day followed by a Bring & Share Lunch.
We’re creating a Collage of every worshipper by asking you all to bring a passport sized photo of yourself to glue to the canvas in the south aisle in St.Mary’s.
Kid’s too – let’s end up with over 200 pictures as we give thanks for the fellowship we share together in the Lord. With this we hope to make a postcard in thankfulness.
‘GIVING’ THANK YOU LETTER
Over 150 folk regularly give money in a planned (signed-up) way to the church whilst others give cash in the offertory plate. We are so very grateful for every gift – thank you. Those who give regularly are invited to take a special
‘Thank You’ letter today from Andy, the Rector, who wants to express our shared thanks to you in the Lord.
WORSHIP, EATING & FELLOWSHIP
Acts 2v46: ’They devoted themselves… to teaching, fellowship… prayer…and ate together with glad and sincere hearts’
PLEDGES FOR A FAMILIES MINISTER
Pledges would still be welcomed from those who’d be happy to support the vision. If anymore was to be pledged then the church council on 14th Nov can be confident in appointing a Families Minister in the Spring. If you are not familiar with this vision then please take both the flyer along with the letter with further information about the post. Thank you so much for sharing in this vision.
Applications will be welcomed from any committed Christian with the successful candidate being part of our ministry team with a special responsibility overseeing the nurture of faith and discipleship among children, youth and their families.

MUSIC, DRAMA, ART, MOVEMENT, LITURGY
For 2018 we seek to create a second worship band, along with having a drama group, the inspiration of some artists for worship, a dance/movement group, and those who may write prayers/liturgy. We have valued some of these in the past – let’s release such gifts again! The idea is the groups would meet in fellowship and prayer as they prepare – and then share their creativity once a month in worship. Please have a word with the clergy – especially if you can be a champion for one of these ministries.
