MEN’S NIGHT CONTROLLED BURN!
Or in traditional language – a bonfire with fish n’ chips.
Parish Centre on Wednesday 9th November at 1930 to burn off all the tree trimmings from the men’s breakfast! If any can also arrive earlier at 3.00pm we shall cut out the turf to make a tidy fire pit. Suitably attired for smoke with gloves, garden forks, clippers etc.
Place your fish ’n chips order on the night.

ST.FRANCIS’ COFFEE MORNING

CHEESE & WINE EVENING with Hoveraid
Join us on Saturday 19th November in the Parish Centre for a fascinating evening hearing about this ministry accessing communities by river in Madagascar by hovercraft. All Welcome.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
Opens with carols on Thursday 8th December, then on Fri-Sun 9th-11th December. All welcome. Some may like to reserve and decorate a tree for your community group – details from Sue in the Church Office.

Our midweek church with explorations in either John’s Gospel or the ‘Going Deeper’ series on ‘Forgiveness’ or the ‘Chrisitanity Explored Course’. Every Thursday starting at 7.15pm in the Parish Centre, all welcome.

BIBLE FELLOWSHIP GROUPS (BFG)
regularly meet in homes or the Parish Centre for friendship and chatting, Bible study and discussion, prayer and reflection.   The groups offer significant encourage -ment in faith and support in life. You’d be very welcome to join a group that suites you.

MONDAY TODDLER’S GROUP – HELP!
We urgently seek a new leader from 14th November for our 1.30pm Monday Toddler Group in the Parish Centre – If anyone is able to stand in and cover a few weeks then your help would be greatly appreciated whilst we plan for the future. Please have a word with the clergy, churchwardens or Libby Norris – thank you very much.

Thanks for the BARN DANCE
We’re very grateful to the Parish Centre Regeneration Group for hosting a fabulous evening last night. So far they’ve raised over £6000 towards our new centre project.

BOOKSTALLS for Christmas
Next Sunday 6th November over coffee in St.Mary’s for Advent Calendars and a variety of Christian books (from Cornerstone Christian Bookshop). Again on 27th
November and 18th December – hosted by Val & Dave McKinley.

In St.Mary’s after the 0930 and Church Alive services on Sunday 20th November and 18th December.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL STEWARDS
This year’s Christmas Tree Festival takes place on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December 2016. As in previous years we are asking for volunteers to help make the event another huge success. A DEMENTIA FRIENDLY GROUP
Cessac House (The Redan off Fort Road) hosts a special group on the first Monday of each month from 2.00pm- 4.00pm. An open invitation is extended by Nerys Blackburn who is the Dementia Team Leader/Advisor.

FOOD BASKET in St.Mary’s
All year long a basket at the back of St.Mary’s welcomes any provisions to support local homeless young people in the care of the Accommodation Resource Centre.
For that extra tin of beans etc in your groceries we are very grateful – thank you.
