SERVING & GIVING
Acts 4v32: ‘they did not claim their possessions as their own, but they shared everything they had… in God’s grace’

ST.MARK’S CHURCHYARD WORK PARTY
There will be a work party at St Marks Churchyard on Saturday 3rd September 2 – 4 pm to get the churchyard ready for the Heritage Open Days.  Men & women needed to operate motor mowers, to prune and cut back bushes and Youngsters to rake up and bag cuttings.  Drinks and biscuits at 3 The Rosery after four.  Hope to see you there, Roy Harris.

ST.FAITH’S MUSIC
Having exhausted live options, St.Faith’s congregation are saving up for a digital hymn player – they’d be grateful of any donations to aid them in their worship. Gifts in envelopes across the parish marked ‘St.Faith’s Hymns’ would be very gratefully received – thank you.

RIDE & STRIDE
In aid of Hants & Islands Historic Churches Trust – the
annual sponsored cycle ride or walk on 10th September. Any who wish to cycle a route visiting different churches (between here and Fareham/Titchfield area) contact David Atkins on 9255 3198. Get sponsored and the sum you raise is divided between the Trust and our parish.

CAN YOU HELP AT THE MICHAELMAS FAYRE?
we have three volunteers so far, can you join them? Because as a church we’re asked to run the two official fayre stalls with information and official fayre raffle, plus we can offer church information and hope to sell tickets for our autumn Barn Dance. Can you offer help to this for part of the afternoon on 24th September? Thank you so much.

OUR NEW ETHIOPIA PARTNERSHIP
‘Healthier Futures for Women & Girls’
We shall have a special parish Gift Day for our
new ‘Healthier Futures’ partnership at Harvest
on 25th September.

With Christian Aid and their partners on the ground we are supporting women and families in Ethiopia overcome the challenges they face from poverty which fuels selling girls to marriage as children followed by high maternal and child mortality. A situation of suffering, of dangerous abortion, of harmful traditional practices, of gender inequality and lack of access to family planning, health and educational services.

With £1000 already in the bank we seek to raise an additional £4000 by October 2017 which will then be multiplied to £30000 by the EU.

Can you organise a fundraising event for this?
Any gifts in envelopes marked for ‘Ethiopia’ will always be
welcome in the offertory at any time – thank you.
Have you signed up with us so we can collect any Gift Aid?
Thank you for sharing in this Africa partnership for the poor.
