CHRIS RICHARDSON’S ORDINATION
Please come along with your prayer and support when Bishop Christopher ordains Chris as a ‘Priest’ in the Cathedral on Saturday 2nd July at 6.00pm. All welcome to this very moving celebration. Chris will first ‘preside’ at communion at 9.15am on 3rd July and we shall celebrate with a picnic lunch for all the family at Stokes Bay that day at 1.00pm.

SUMMER PICNIC @ STOKES BAY
We shall enjoy a picnic lunch on Sunday 3rd July at 1.00pm (in celebration with Revd Chris). Bring outdoor games and family fun. Weather permitting at Stokes Bay – if wet in the Parish Centre.

SUMMER FAMILIES FUN DAY
Lots of fun activities day for families on Saturday 16th July from 2.00-4.00pm at the Parish Centre. £1 child. Over 200 folk joined us last year for all the fun. Ending with a picnic tea on the lawn! Hosted by the parish Baby & Toddler Groups and Messy Church. Extra helpers needed plus cakes – could you join in or bake?

SIDE AISLE PEWS & THE WAR MEMORIAL
Following pew consultations in May 2015, a presentation of our plans to make good the side aisles and provide a stone floor to dignify the War Memorial will be made in St.Mary’s. The first is on: Tues 19th July, 7.30pm (then Thurs 21st July 2pm; Weds 27th July 7.30pm, Weds 3rd August 11am). We hope this may lead to application for a Faculty this autumn for work in Spring 2017.

CALLING ALL PILGRIMS!
You are invited to our weekly Thursday evening
‘Pilgrims’ meetings. For the next 3 weeks (23rd, 30th June and 7th July) the Bible Studies in John’s Gospel will continue for those who have been coming along to that group in the new venue of Phil Dray’s home whist a new Bible Study will be available for all in the parish centre. On 14th July, we will then all join together for a meal.

ETHIOPIA PARTNERSHIP LAUNCH DAY
We shall launch our new partnership on Sunday 17th Ju-ly, to raise £5000 by October 2017 which will then be-come £30,000 by EU grant! For women’s wellbeing.

Each one, a journey starting with our Ves-try Hour Team (Rowena Bradfield, Kay Lancaster, Peter Camp) followed by wedding prep. with the clergy, a rehearsal and the big day.
