We’d be grateful of all worshippers at St.Mary’s completing a survey – cream forms at the back of church, posted when complete in the box during March or to Parish Centre. Thanks. Thanks for the Mothering Sunday POSIES
Thank you to those who’ve given and made the posies as a sign of our appreciation for the care and love we receive today – they are lovely and such a blessing!
Thank you from our KENYA PARTNERSHIP
Ahead of schedule we have raised the £5,000 which we committed to Christian Aid’s women’s maternity project in Kenya. Thank you to all who raised money and gave regularly to this fabulous way of linking our church with the believers in Narok County. Our £5000 will now be made up to £20,000 by the EU. Apparently Christian Aid cannot take more than the £5000 – and so we are now invited to start a new partnership until October 2017 with a very similar project in Ethiopia, but this time our £5000 becomes £30,000! The PCC will
discuss whether we should do this on Tuesday this week.
Please let members know what you think about it?
Giving a WELCOME HAMPER
Moving south from Crewe in Holy Week! We’d like to welcome Tim & Clare Watson to their new home with a hearty hamper. If you would like to contribute to this by popping any grocery or household items in to the Parish Centre by 13th March that would be very kind – thank you.
Giving a Chapel CARPET – see the sample.
We have good quotes for carpeting the front creche and back children’s areas in dark grey – toned to the red carpet and patterned to match the tiled flooring. The condition of the chapel carpet has now been raised – please see the mould and moth! The PCC will discuss this on Tuesday evening to see if it should be replaced at the same time at a reduced price of £620. If any felt this to be something to which they could give for the dignity, prayer and ministry of the chapel then your donation would be valuable and gratefully appreciated. If we go ahead a gift jar will appear at the back in
St.Mary’s next Sunday 13th March – thank you very much.
A small sample of the proposed carpet may be seen behind the candlestick on the Chapel communion table!
Thanks to local BUSINESSES for help
We’re very grateful to ‘First Choice Removals’ for helping us move pews to safe storage last Thursday along with Haslar Heritage for storing them for us and ‘Ian Cameron & Sons Builders’ for undertaking all the joinery.
