MESSY CHURCH This Thursday
This Thursday 28th January at 3.30pm in the Parish Centre – for primary aged children and their adults. Bible based crafts, games, worship and hot supper on ‘Jesus – past, present and future’ (Candlemas).
The team seek new helpers to join them in what proves to be a very fulfilling ministry especially for those in early retirement – please have a word.

Whether you’re established as a worshipper here for 30 years or for 3 months – please join us for a simple Bring & Share supper for all across the parish.
Join us in the fellowship of eating together on Thursday 28th January from 7.00pm in the Parish Centre. Come, meet and make new friends – ending with some prayer. If you can bring a simple savoury or sweet dish to share that would be great, if not still please come.

THE PRAYERS OF JESUS Course
Our fascinating Pilgrim evenings will return for 6
sessions on ‘The Prayers of Jesus’ from Thurs 4th
Feb to 10th March at 7.15pm in the Parish Centre. Starting with refreshments, and with prayer.
WEDNESDAY PRAYER DURING LENT
A call to gather and seek God in prayer each Weds from 10th Feb at either 2.00pm or 7.30pm in St.Mary’s (8.00pm on Ash Wednesday). Health permitting, some may like to make each Wednesday a day of fasting too! The prayer gatherings will not be ‘formed’ acts of worship but rather times to wait on God with others and respond as inspired.
GROWING CHILDREN’s FAITH Meeting 2nd Feb
We need a bigger team to help minister to the 35+ children and young people at worship each Sunday for both our 9.15am and 10.45am services. You’re invited to an exploratory meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 2nd February at the Rectory, Little Anglesey Road or chat to Libby Norris – thank you.

IN EAGER ANTICIPATION… Revd Tim Watson
Bishop Christopher will license Tim as our new Pioneer Minister at 11.00am on Sunday 17th April in Leesland. A very special day in our church story.
Shared with Forton congregation too, Tim’s licensing will involve gathering at St.Faith’s and a procession to Leesland Junior School Hall for the service followed by lunch. Some may prefer simply to gather at the school.
The licensing will not include communion and so Hazel will host a single said service at 9.15am in St.Mary’s.
