This Thursday PILGRIM SUPPER
You’re invited to join us for a Bring & Share Supper on Thursday evening 8th October, 7.15pm for 7.30pm supper. Also a presentation to whet our appetite for the Pilgrim sessions to follow looking at Jesus’ Parables of the Kingdom. Whether or not you have time to prepare any buffet food – please simply turn up and enjoy the evening of food and new friendship, fellowship, video with some prayer and worship.

This Friday CHURCH GROWTH COURSE
It’s not too late to enjoy the three very good sessions even though the well attended Thursday evenings have now ended. The course will run again for 3 weeks starting this next Friday 9th October, 10.00am at 16 Solent Drive hosted by Marie Anthony (one of our Bible Fellowship Group leaders). You’re invited and would be very welcome to attend. The course is so good that we are seeking other times to host it too.

SUNDAY BRING & SHARE LUNCH
After morning worship from all our services across the parish, join us when you can for food and fellowship between 12noon – 2.00pm on Sunday 25th October in the Parish Centre. All welcome.

6pm on Sunday 18th October at St.Faith’s, Lee on Solent. A special service for Gosport Deanery in seeking the Lord’s grace of healing personally and for others.

At worship for the month we shall be reflecting upon Christian Giving to and through the church.
Along with preaching, as part of this each of our churches will hear from the Parish Treasurer, Tim Finch, and will be encouraged in the use of money by Kim Beazely from the CAP Money Course.
We shall all be invited to give for the future by signing up to the PARISH GIVING SCHEME. A new national CofE administrative scheme which leaves the donor in control whilst significantly improving parish finances by immediate Gift Aid recovery. Let’s pray towards 150 households switching to PGS! A pack of information will be available for all worshippers next week.

Stewardship of Creation: SAVING THE BEES!
At the Michaelmas Fayre the local Friends of the Earth sought our signatures to send a petition to Parliament highlighting the threat from pesticides to the Bee population upon which we rely for food! The national petition is at the back of our churches for two Sundays for those who would like to add their name in bringing this need to the attention of our MP Caroline Dineage.

MEMORIAL SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING
A special service in St.Mary’s at 6.30pm on All Saints Sunday 1st November to remember our loved ones who have died. There will be a list towards the end October upon which names may be added for the service.

ST.MARY’S CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th December. Bring a friend and join the 1000s for this very moving celebration which, in addition to 80 wonderfully decorated trees, receives 700 prayer requests from the community and 700 memories of folk on the church trees in the Chapel.

PRAY FOR THE PCC
The Parochial Church Council is having the morning together for vision and prayer next Saturday 10th October in St.Faith’s Church. Please pray for the members of the PCC, for wisdom to discern God’s will for us.
