ST.FAITH’S SERVICE CHANGE STARTS TODAY
Love, Joy and Peace: at 9.30am today St.Faith’s host our first service simply called JOY. It is an anglican Service of the Word with celebration, songs and fellowship. On the fourth Sunday of each month St.Faith’s will host our service called PEACE – this will be a prayerful and reflective service with more stillness in either a Celtic or Taize style. St.Faith’s communion services on first and third Sundays of the month will, of course, be celebrating the LOVE of Christ which the communion proclaims.

ST.MARY’S SIDE AISLE PEWS – next Friday
May’s Parish News invites any who are interested to an open meeting to discuss the side aisle pews with Andy next Saturday. We are very sorry for the delay to the Parish News with the excuse of the printer which was broken for 2 weeks awaiting a part. Even so, the PCC will be discussing the removal of the side aisle pews (the ones against the walls) this Tuesday evening. The architect, builder and plumber have recently visited to explore the possibilities – and the diocese will comment on Thursday. Hence, any who are interested to talk about this are invited to meet with Andy this Friday 15th in St.Mary’s at either 11.00am or 7.00pm. With such short notice, Andy is happy to arrange a later meeting too should any express an interest.
St.Mary’s has a real dignity as a church but it is notably overcrowded with pews.  It is hoped that the creating of space to the side aisles will not only afford greater usable space for church worship and community, but also will enhance the sense of ‘place’ and spiritual ‘space’ for the whole building; making it less ‘busy’ and adding to its character and beauty.

THANK YOU SIDESMEN
For your hard work in welcoming us to worship and being last to leave after ‘clearing up’. We’re grateful to the 35 Sidesmen who came to the training events this last week as we considered how the church must grow a culture of Invitation, Welcome and Care; your thinking together was greatly appreciated as we seek for all our churches to grow in welcome and hospitality for everyone. Please pray for team of Sidesmen (welcomers) in this vital ministry.
