SUMMER TERM PILGRIM – join the fellowship.

CAN YOU JOIN OUR WELCOME TEAM (Sidesmen) ?
At the annual meeting we nominate ‘sidesmen’ who have the most important role of being our welcomers as we come to worship. Perhaps you could join the rota for this? – we especially need more women as well as men, and younger people too. If so please have a word with a Churchwarden or sign the list at the back of our churches. New Training for all sidemen is essential and will be on 5th May at 7.30pm and 9th May at 9.00am. This is for those who would be welcomers at St.Francis’ and St.Faith’s too – thank you.

PARISH ACCOUNTS 2014
The parish accounts are available in our churches for inspection. You are welcome to have a copy – if they run out then please sign the list in church so we can print more!
We thank the Lord that Finances are improving, but it still leaves us running with a shortfall of about £1000 per month.

ELECTIONS TO PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL
We elect 4 members of St.Mary’s to the PCC for a 3 year term at each annual meeting. We’re grateful to Graham, Rosemary and Karen who have served and are stepping down this time. Please pray towards this, nomination forms are at the back.
We’re also grateful to Karen for her service as PCC Secretary – a post which we shall need to fill for the new PCC! Could you join the PCC as our new Secretary?

SPONSOR A PUPPET? THANK YOU.
Thanks to your generosity we’ve been able to acquire a fabulous set of eight large puppets for use in our primary schools assemblies, families ministry and worship. 6 are sponsored leaving just two left, slightly more at £60 each, being our biblical character Jesus (on order) and a wonderful Lamb. Any sponsorship (or part of) towards them would be greatly appreciated through the Parish Office – thank you.

A FAB WEEK AT SPRING HARVEST
8 adults of the congregation and 7 members of our Breakthrough Youth Club enjoyed a week of sunshine at Butlins in Minehead. For the young people the dynamic worship and Bible teaching sessions were all new – but it was a fabulous and life changing week of encountering God’s love with some folk committing their lives to Christ. The adult teaching and worship was inspiring, especially the Bible studies from Ephesians. Perhaps more of us can go next year? Can’t wait – then check out New Wine in August?
