Tonight iNViTe – CONTEMPORARY PRAISE
6.30pm in St.Mary’s when iNViTe welcomes the worship team from St.Jude’s, Southsea, to lead us in our praise and prayer. All welcome to what have been very popular contemporary services. Refreshments from 6.00pm.

KENYA MATERNITY SPONSORED RUN on Palm Sunday
Libby Norris, Yvette Dawson and Rosie Wright will run 4K, cycle 20K and run 4K. They’d welcome sponsored gifts on the forms at the back of our churches in favour of Kenyan mums through our parish partnership to raise £5000 for 5 Maternity Units; otherwise sponsored gifts can be given to the Parish Office. Thank you for supporting our parish mission partnership with the church in Narok County, Kenya, through Christian Aid in a part of the world with the highest maternal mortality rate. We seek £5000 by July 2016.

Joining the CHURCH ELECTORAL ROLL
Electoral Roll welcome membership and giving packs are available for the annual update of the formal parish Electoral Roll which is taking place during March closing on 5th April, Easter Day, ahead of the APCM.

CAN YOU JOIN OUR WELCOME TEAM?
At the annual meeting we nominate ‘sidesmen’ who have the most important role of being our welcomers as we come to worship. Perhaps you could join the rota for this? – we especially need more women as well as men, and younger people too. If so please sign the list at the back of our churches. New Training for all sidemen is essential and will be on 5th May at 7.30pm or 9th May at 9.00am. See wardens for more information. This is for those who would be welcomers at St.Francis’ and St.Faith’s too – thank you.

Please note that the AGM for the whole parish is to be held on Tuesday 21st April 2015 at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre.  If possible please bring a £1 coin to the meeting and we’ll tell you why when you get there!

ELDERLY FRAIL MISSION ACTION PLANNING
The vision group met last Tuesday. Did you know that there are some 400 folk resident in the care and nursing homes of the parish? Plus 300 more being cared for in their own homes – please pray for them all and their families.

Upper Room Communion Services at St.Francis 7.00pm and St.Faith’s 6.30pm. The Parish Centre service at 7.00pm involves foods of the passover including a hot meal of Shepherd’s Pie & Trifle. Please sign up on the list at the back of St.Mary’s or the Parish Centre if you would like share in this meal in which communion was started by Jesus – thank you.

SUMMER TERM – NEW ALPHA & PILGRIM COURSES
Pilgrim will continue from May on Thursday evenings, looking next at The Beatitudes and maybe Communion too.
On Wednesday evenings from 6th May is possibility of a new Alpha Course in Darcey’s- would this be of interest to anyone?

SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES TEAM PUPPETS
Our new team is up and running leading worship in some of our schools. Using a scheme called ‘Open The Book’ they seek to purchase a number of puppets costing £50 each to be used for assemblies and in our church children’s work too. If anyone would be willing to sponsor a puppet then your gift to the Parish Office would be much appreciated – thank you.

NEW PARISH CENTRE WORKING GROUP
    Any who may be interested in working towards renewing or replacing the Parish Centre for its 50th Anniversary (2018), both in the planning of what to do or in fundraising, are invited to a first meeting to get started on 29th April at 7.30pm, Parish Centre. All welcome.
