FAREWELL TO PHIL & MAGGIE HISCOCK
Just two more weeks… please pop Sunday 1st March in your diary so that we can all come together at 10.00am for Phil’s final parish communion and lunch as he retires after 7 years of ministry in this parish. There are no other services that day. Please share in expressing our appreciation to them.

including the imposition of ashes on Wednesday 18th February at 6.30pm in St.Faith’s and 7.00pm in St.Mary’s. You’re welcome to leave last years Palm Crosses to be turned to ash at the back of church today!

The enjoyable Pilgrim evenings continue this week at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre on Thursday – refreshments, music, prayers and learning together, this week on the 10 Commandments theme of Reliability. The course then looks at The Lord’s Prayer until Easter.

AT ST.FAITH
Today is St Faith’s AGM immediately after our morning communion followed by a lunch when we shall bid our St.Faith’s farewell to Phil & Maggie.

DID YOU KNOW… new Schools Assembly Team
It is very positive that we have now formed a small group of members who are taking ‘Open The Book’ acts of collective worship in local schools. Starting at Leesland last Friday, the team will eventually start to offer their ministry to other primary schools too.

DID YOU KNOW… Pioneering Minister
We are seeking the support of the Deanery in the hope that the Bishop may appoint a Pioneering Minister for Leesland (as a form of successor to Phil at St.Faith’s) and in collaboration with Forton sandwiching the area north of B3333 and south of A32. Please pray for the meeting of the Deanery Mission & Pastoral Committee on 12th March when this will continue to be discussed.
