A NOTE FROM PHIL
The decision has been made.
It’s with very mixed emotions that I let you all know that I plan to retire on March 16th next year…
This date is the seventh anniversary of my returning to the Diocese and of my licensing at Alverstoke It will also be a few weeks after my 68th birthday. My last service, as the Associate Priest, is planned for March 1st. Maggie and I will be retiring to our home near Portchester and I hope to continue to minister within the area. (Please hold Phil & Maggie in your prayers).

St.Mary’s REFRESHMENTS TODAY

This Afternoon ALL SAINTS LIGHT PARTY
Our Messy Church team invite families to our Light Party today from 4.00pm-5.30pm in the Parish Centre. Fun, games, crafts and party food. Come dressed bright & glittery or as a super hero! Tickets £1. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tonight A Service for ALL SAINTS at St.Mary’s
Our evening service at 6.30pm will express prayers and thanksgivings for our loved ones departed. If you would like someone to be remembered then you are invited to add their name to the list at the back of St.Mary’s.

This Wednesday NEW MIDWEEK COMMUNION
Our first weekly Common Worship Communion with hymns starts on 5th November at 10.30am in St.Mary’s. This week, the first of the month, includes the international prayer of the Mothers’ Union with £15 of the offering in support of the MU International Fund.

Next Sunday 9th November REMEMBRANCE
Our special Service of Remembrance will take place at 10.30am in St.Mary’s. Please note, this is not a communion service and there is no Church Alive.

Tickets for the Supper in aid of Narok County Maternity Services at 7.30pm on Saturday November 8th in the Parish Centre are now available from the Parish Office. Tickets price £7.50. Presentation by Christian Aid, raffle and a game or two!

NEW MUGS We are very grateful of the donation of new white mugs and trays for our coffee arrangements at St.Mary’s from Cameron Sons Building Services Ltd who repaired and decorated the Chapel in August.

DIOCESAN MISSION OPPORTUNITIES FUND
Upon his visit, Archdeacon Gavin announced that the diocesan mission fund has awarded our project to install AV equipment in St.Mary’s the sum of £6,000. This is in support of the proactive mission that the screen enables through new services like Church Alive.

SHAPING THE FUTURE INSTALLATION
The installation of the new PA and AV equipment in St.Mary’s is planned to take place from 17th November for up to 2 weeks. Thank you to all who have given gifts to enable this to go ahead in readiness for Christmas.
